台灣賽鴿源於日殖時期日軍引進的軍鴿,從旁梳理軍鴿在台活動的歷史脈絡中,可看見他的際遇與福爾摩莎是如此貼近,進而隨著殖民流動交織成一部東亞島鏈近代史。我透過偽歷史圖像、檔案文件的虛構翻攝,作為發聲與指認的工具來介入某種關注,將攝像機裝載在所飼養的鴿子身上,以身體徒勞的對價交換獲取目的性的內容外,在翻找史料、編造敘事的同時,也對照即存在於現實的,又存在於想像當下的。

作品敘事以太平洋戰爭爆發前夕為時代背景,
日軍所屬軍鴿受命偵察麥寮周遭,在盡心完成空拍的艱險任務之際,
透過檔案文件陳述著殖民身分的政治性,而杜撰任務的同時,
也試圖反映對當下所處的生活環境的關注與提示。


With the context prior to the outbreak of the Pacific War as the Background, a military pigeon of Japanese Army was tasked to scout the surroundings of Mailiau. Upon completing the challenging mission of aerial shooting, it narrates the politics of colonial identity through dossier, in an attempt to reflect the attention and cues of the environment as it it while fabricating a specious mission.
